These companies are at the forefront of leveraging blockchain, AI, GIS, and other technologies to revolutionize the migration system. Their solutions range from enhancing skills and credential checks to streamlining migration processes and integrating financial services with insurance options. "The Migration Challenge has become a benchmark for innovation in the field of migration," said Pauline Ambala-Blackbeard., Program and Partnerships Manager for Africa at Seedstars. "Our partnership with IOE reflects our commitment to technological solutions that are not only impactful but also sustainable and aligned with the UN SDGs. This year’s finalists exemplify the potential of technology to address critical global challenges." Recognized as a UN SDG Good Practice in 2021, the IOE-Seedstars Migration Challenge underscores the importance of tech-based solutions in international migration systems. The competition focuses on addressing information gaps, enhancing accessibility, providing financial education, and giving international migration systems a much-needed technological uplift. The 14th GFMD Summit to be held in France will be the platform where these finalists will present their solutions to a global audience of governments, policymakers, and industry leaders. The event promises to be a significant opportunity for these startups to gain visibility, establish partnerships, and contribute to the global migration dialogue.
