You would probably ask why Kazakhstan was chosen as the final stop for the [Seedstars World Competition 2019](https://www.seedstarsworld.com/regional-summits/)? #### WRITTEN BY ![None](https://seedstars-com.s3.amazonaws.com/images/Nadia_Mykhalevych.max-376x376.jpg) CONTENT MARKETING MANAGER Nadia Mykhalevych [CONTACT US](/contact-us/) The country has been on our radar for a long time as it combines a few significant factors for a healthy entrepreneur ecosystem growth such as strong governmental support, rapid country digitalization and technology development, and last but not least, an active entrepreneurial community. Furthermore, Kazakhstan is becoming less dependent on its oil and gas resources and is eager to explore alternative ways of doing business and boosting the economy. The proof of this is a state program Digital Kazakhstan aimed at developing a holistic digital infrastructure and investing in the training of high-quality experts in the tech sector. For this year’s edition of the regional [Seedstars Summit in CEE & Central Asia](https://www.seedstarsworld.com/event/seedstars-summit-cee-2019?__hstc=242025565.c9a372498fb707241a59bbc2e7a08046.1603964344551.1604310789424.1604384884387.9&__hssc=242025565.37.1604384884387&__hsfp=413475300), we are partnering with the government of Kazakhstan and Akimat of Nur-Sultan ([Astana Innovations](http://ain.kz/index.php/en/front-page/)) to expand the impact of their work and to accelerate growth in the region.
