Women entrepreneurs play a critical role in the global economy—creating jobs, generating income, and boosting revenue while reducing inequalities between women and men. For young companies and startups led by women, accessing financial capital can have a profound impact on their future growth and sustainability. Seedstars created the Equity4Equity Project to support women-led startups and close financing gaps.

Through the project, Seedstars created a report on practical pathways for any entrepreneur support organization (ESO) seeking to foster an entrepreneurial ecosystem that enables the full participation of women founders of startups in emerging markets and beyond.

The report contains results, insights, and recommendations from one season of pilot activities during the Seedstars World Competition 2020/21 conducted in Sub-Saharan Africa designed to improve outreach and services to female-led startups to grow their companies, secure investment, and support broader economic development.
