The hub is located on the fifth floor of the Kowork Massira building on 3 Boulevard Al Massira Al Khadra, in the business heart of Casablanca. Having a dedicated coworking area, Seedspace Casablanca will focus on attracting entrepreneurs, freelancers and digital nomads in search of a vibrant and dynamic community that wants to create an impact in society through technology and innovation. Space is already operational and ready to welcome visitors!

What’s more is that Seedspace Casablanca will host the first edition of the much anticipated Investment Readiness Program, announced by the Seedstars’ CEO Alisee de Tonnac at the Seedstars Summit in Lausanne last April. The program challenges the traditional acceleration model by creating a unique and customisable mix designed for startups who are looking to structure themselves to be ready to receive investment. The next batch will start on June 7th and applications can be submitted at this link.

Participating startups will relocate to the brand new Seedspace Casablanca offices side-by-side with other promising tech startup and will receive direct mentorship from fundraising experts, including Seedstars’ CIO Charlie Graham-Brown, to build their fundraising strategy. They will then be able to pitch their business ideas on regular demo days gathering international investors and venture capitals interested specifically in their market and various tech industries and raise up to 500,000 USD investment from Seedstars and its partners.

MENA Regional Summit

Being part of a global network of entrepreneurship hubs, Seedspace Casablanca is the 13th hub by Seedstars opening in an emerging market and has the goal to attract various ecosystem stakeholders from entrepreneurs to investors, mentors, and supporters. Providing a physical platform for organising events, workshops, bootcamps, training programs and much more, space is open for everyone and offers coworking opportunities too. In fact, the partner company Kowork offers hot and dedicated desks, as well as private offices for different organisation types and sizes, whether you’re an individual or a company.

Kowork, who is partnering up with Seedstars, was established in 2018 in Casablanca to bring innovation to the office and coworking industry in Africa with the ambition to be in the top 3 in the continent. “Thanks to Seedstars’ experience in fostering entrepreneurial communities in emerging markets, we are enriching our services with a high value added proposal towards all Moroccan start-ups”, commented Kowork’s CEO, Reda LAYT.

MENA Regional Summit

An interesting fact is that Seedstars has already maintained active operations in the region for the past three years by organising Seedstars World events, which are part of a world-wide startup competition happening in 85 different countries and leading up to the annual Seedstars Summit, where a global winner is selected by a jury of investors. In January 2016, Casablanca hosted the Regional Summit for the MENA. The next local Seedstars World event in Morocco is expected to happen in July, followed by a Regional Summit of the MENA area on December 2019.

The Seedstars Summit brings together the most innovative seed stage startups from emerging markets, awarding them the opportunity to win up to 500,000 USD and to connect with investors and mentors from around the world. Its previous participants have raised over USD 220 million collectively, providing employment to more than 2100 employees worldwide.
